Re: RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION OF CUSTOMER SERVICE
To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Michael J. Micallef, and I would like to take a moment to recognize the outstanding customer service provided by John Y McNelis and Michael Vermilion on January 25th and 27th, regarding bee location, extermination and hive removal from our home.
In April of 2005, my wife and I became aware of the presence of bees beneath the eave of our house. We contacted the Bugman and technicians attempted to locate and exterminate the bees. After several attempts at dusting, more drastic measures were utilized in July (i.e. holes were drilled in the interior wall/ceiling and both dust and 585 were applied). The bees were neutralized and their entry hole was sealed.
Once the bees had been exterminated, we were advised by the Bugman technician that a hive removal might be necessary to prevent the bees from returning and to also prevent damage from dripping honey. We elected not to remove the hive and take our chances.
Unfortunately, the bees returned after a very brief absence. And, although the bees could not gain access at the former entry hole, they were now entering on the side of the chimney.
Subsequently, a bee location, extermination and hive removal was scheduled for January 25th and 27th . On both dates, John McNelis and Michael Vermilion worked diligently at our location. -John utilized his extensive experience to quickly and accurately locate the hive, therefore minimizing any drywall removal used to access the hive.
Once the bees had been exterminated, the drywall removed and the hive was exposed, John allowed me to see our bee hive. I was literally shocked by the size of the hive I observed! I felt compelled to take digital photos because I didn't think my wife or any of my family and friends would believe me if I just described it for them. I knew they would suspect more than a bit of exaggeration on my part.
Michael got the unlucky job of having to perform the actual hive removal/scraping. Honey was dripping from the hive like a water faucet with a vigorous leak and both Michael and John were coated in an appreciable amount of honey. However, I want to emphasize that very little, if any honey dripped on the walls and no honey made its way onto our carpet. The hive yielded anywhere from 60 - 80 pounds of comb and honey and it filled 3 heavy duty bags! John said it was the largest hive he had seen in 4 months.
Following the hive removal, both John and Michael did a very thorough job of cleaning everything up. When they were finished, it was like they had never been there (absent the cuts to the drywall, of course).
My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the hive removal service John and Michael performed. In addition, I was very impressed with their friendly nature and the level of professionalism John and Michael displayed in the performance of their duties.
John McNelis and Michael Vermilion are excellent representatives of your company and employees like them are the reason that my wife and I utilize the services of the Bugman for our insect, termite and bee management.
Sincerely,
Michael J. Micallef
